Humanoids

Builders that work from the plan.

Our builders are humanoids with tool hands: a gripper on one arm, a drill on the other. They get their work from the dashboard and learn it in physics simulation first.

Body
A full-size humanoid. In simulation today: the Unitree H2
Left hand
A parallel gripper, force controlled, with rubber pads

A drill that drives the framing screws
Work
Carries, sets and screws timber members, alone or in pairs
Plan
Takes its tasks from the dashboard’s export
Why humanoids

The site does not have to change.

A specialised machine needs the site arranged around it. A humanoid uses the stairs, the tables and the tools that are already there, and one body can carry, hold and screw. Where a task needs more than one, the planner sends two.

From the plan to a skill

The plan is the training task.

The robots do not get a separate description of the job. They train on the same export the dashboard sends to site.

  1. 01

    Export

The dashboard exports a wall: its members, where each one goes, and every screw with its head and tip.

  2. 02

    Job

The wall becomes a job on a framing table: plates in the jig, studs to set, screws to drive.

  3. 03

    Expert

A scripted expert does the job first, in physics simulation, from the plan alone.

  4. 04

    Learn

A learned policy is trained on top of the expert and corrects it where the expert misses.

  5. 05

    Pair

A stud that spans the table is carried by two robots, one at each end, as the plan assigns.

  6. 06

    Check

A stud counts as set when it sits within the plan’s tolerance. Only then is it screwed.

Framed flat, then raised

Build the wall the way a prefab crew does.

Below table height a humanoid has to crouch, so a wall is framed flat on a framing table and then stood up:

  • The plates sit in the table’s stops, which hold them square
  • Each stud is set between them and checked against the plan
  • Two screws go through the plate into the stud’s end
Where it stands

Simulation first. Hardware next.

Everything our humanoids do today runs in NVIDIA Isaac Sim, on walls exported from the dashboard. The films on this site are concept films, made with AI to show where this is going. Next are the same skills on real hardware, and raising the framed wall.
