Who we are and how we work.

Tonian builds the software and the robots for autonomous construction: a model of the site, one plan, and humanoids that carry it out. Timber framing is the first trade we take to a pilot. We are based in Germany. For where this is going, see our vision.

How we plan to work

Take it to site through timber framing.

Software

The planner comes first

The dashboard is useful before a robot is on site: it frames a house, places every screw and writes the cut list. The same plan later goes to the robots.

Partners

Pilot with a timber-frame builder

The first jobs are timber-frame walls. Builders bring the trade knowledge. We bring the planner and the robots, and learn the job with them.

Robots

Humanoids, with tool hands

We build on humanoid hardware and design the hands for the work: a gripper for timber, a drill for screws. The planner schedules any robot that can take a task.

Base

Start in Germany

Timber framing is an established way to build here, with high labour cost and a strict inspection culture: a plan that is checked step by step is worth something from day one.

Where we stand

Working in simulation. Hardware next.

The planning software runs. The robots work in physics simulation. The films on this site are AI-generated concepts.
